Most paints contain many toxic chemicals which can be harmful, most commonly VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). These make up the new paint smell that many people find unpleasant, but also continue to seep out in small amounts for years after painting and can lead to many health problems. e.g. Ethylene Glycol - a solvent used in latex paints. A clear, colorless, odorless liquid, ethylene glycol and its vapor can be toxic to humans. Exposure may cause irritation to the skin, eyes, nose, throat and lungs, and allergic reactions are possible. Overexposure could lead to nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, coma, and respiratory failure. Repeated overexposure can permanently damage the kidneys.

A range of interior and exterior paints, varnishes, enamels, oils, waxes and adhesives, which are made predominantly from natural ingredients. They have been developed since the early seventies in response to increasing concerns about the environmental impact of man-made chemicals. Great care has been taken to select modern ingredients, which compliment the original formulas and minimise the risk of adverse effects.

Each of these products have been extensively tested to ensure that they produce a high quality finish, but remember that this blend of ingredients is unique, therefore please follow the application instructions carefully.

Traditionally made BIO Products should be applied in the traditional way. Apply them thinly, which strenghtens the bond between the wood and the product, and also shortens the drying time. Youll find that BIO drying times are longer than chemically-based products, because the organic natural products dont contain any poisonous drying agents such as lead. Always make certain that a coat is completely dry before further work on the surface.

Livos offers a variety of all natural, non-toxic, biodegradable products from surface treatments to cleaning and maintenance applications. These products contain no Petro-chemicals, and do not contribute to global warming. Based on renewable raw plant materials that are organically sourced and never tested on animals, Livos products are environmentally responsible, non-polluting, ecologically friendly, and emit no harmful substances.

Decking Oil

For exterior use only. Produces a water repellent, open-pored, fast drying finish. No chipping or flaking. Surface finish is even and easy to maintain. Available in three shades, Chestnut for darker timbers such as merbau and jarrah. Oak for Cypress and Oregon Pine for Cedar.

 

 

 

  

 

Wood Stain

For all exterior timber. May be used on interior timber windows only. Not suitable for walking areas such as balcony floors. Is water repellent, open pored, weather-resistant and permeable to water vapr. Natural Oil Sealer

For interior solid timber, furniture and floor as well as OSB boards. Transparent, high gloss, water resistant, open pored. Produces a protective suface film. Available in 10 colours; Clear, Tobacco, Antique Oak, Mahogany, Oak, White, Walnut, Rosewood, Dark Walnut, Smoked Oak. Also suitable for kitchen cupboards and benches.

 

 

 

 

Natural Resin Hardening Oil

For softwoods such as pine, and concrete. For furniture, floors and porous stone. Water repellent, open pored. Produces a protective surface film. Available in 10 colours; Clear, Tobacco, Antique Oak, Mahogany, Oak, White, Walnut, Rosewood, Dark Walnut, Smoked Oak. Can be tinted with the Natural Oil Paint for concrete floors.

 

 

 

 

Weather Protection

Suitable for exterior wood surfaces such as decks, fences, sandboxes, outdoor toys, flower boxes, barns and stables. Creates a water-repellent, weather resistant, open-pored, permeable to water vapour. Penetrates deeply, remains permanently elastic. No peeling or flaking. Adheres well to thin coatings of conventional stain.

 

 

 

 

 

Colouring Paste

Pigment for tinting of all Livos Wall & Ceiling Paints and natural texture render. Non-fading. Mixable at any ratio (creating a wider range of colour shades) with Dubron wall and ceiling paint. 17 Colours available; Sunny Yellow, Burnt Umbra, Ochre, Black, Red Ochre, Green, English Red, Ultramarine Blue, Persian Red, Cream, Natural Umbra.

 

 

Finger Paints

Livos Finger Paint set contains 6 colours; Yellow, Red, Black, Green, Blue and White. May be used on absorbent materials such as wood, stone, unglazed clay, wood shavings, paper and cardboard and gypsum.

 

 

 

 

pH Neutral Cleaner

For cleaning oiled finished (such as floors), waxed, stained, painted or varnished surfaces. Also recommended for cleaning of linoleum, cork and stone. A mild and effective cleaner. Is biodegradable.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Liquid Wax Cleaner

Maintenance emulsion for oiled, waxed and lacquered surfaces, for floors or furniture. Also for tiles and linoleum. Cleaning, leaving a thin wax film restoring gloss.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Liquid Beeswax

For interior timber such as paneling and furniture after pre-treatment with Livos products. For regular care of linoleum. Liquid. Antistatic finish. Silky gloss. Not suitable in moist areas.
