The 6th print edition of Your Home - Australia’s guide to sustainable homes - is now available.
The Hon Angus Taylor MP, Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, announced the new edition today. ‘Your Home is yet another initiative we are driving to ensure families and individuals can power their household for less,’ the Minister said.
Your Home has undergone major technical and editorial updates. The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources coordinated a team of building experts, scientific editors and graphic designers to update both the Your Home book and website.
The 71-chapter print edition contains new and updated content on:
- building in bushfire-prone areas
- passive house standards
- renewable energy systems and batteries
- condensation and airtightness
- energy-efficiency in apartments and common-area upgrades
- making homes resilient to a changing climate
The Your Home book includes 4 case studies, with additional case studies available online.

We aim to ship your order within 2 to 3 working days from our Northcote store. We will let you know about any delays due to stock issues as quickly as we can, and endeavour to keep you informed through the process.
Most deliveries are sent through Australia Post, some are sent via courier services when necessary.
Shipping Costs
Some of our heavier or bulkier products attract an extra shipping cost that will be charged at checkout or we may need to call you to organise payment of a shipping surcharge after purchase. If you feel like a freight charge is too expensive or could be done cheaper through a courier etc, please call us and we will endeavour to organise an alternative with you.
